LinKo respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you use linkoresources.org, download a resource, purchase a digital product, sign up for updates, submit Community Wisdom, or otherwise interact with LinKo.

Our goal is to collect only the information reasonably needed to provide our resources, communicate with you, process purchases, and improve the usefulness of LinKo.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use LinKo, we may collect information such as:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Information you voluntarily provide through a form
• Your communication preferences
• Information about resources you request or purchase
• Transaction information associated with a purchase
• General website usage information, such as pages visited, device type, browser type, and referral source

You are not required to provide information about your incarceration history, conviction, correctional facility, or other sensitive personal history simply to browse the LinKo website.

2. Free Resources and Email Sign-Ups

When you request a free LinKo resource, such as The First 90 Days Roadmap or What’s Changed Since You’ve Been Away, we may ask for your name and email address.

We use this information to:

• Deliver the resource you requested
• Send related follow-up resources or information described on the sign-up form
• Help you learn about other relevant LinKo resources

If you separately sign up for ongoing LinKo resource updates, we may occasionally email you about new guides, tools, or Community Wisdom content.

You may unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email.

LinKo currently uses MailerLite to manage email subscriptions, forms, and automated email communications. Information submitted through these forms may therefore be processed and stored by MailerLite in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.

3. Digital Product Purchases

LinKo offers digital educational resources, including the Job Readiness Starter Kit.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe. LinKo does not receive or store your full credit-card number.

When you make a purchase, we may receive information necessary to complete and document the transaction, such as:

• Your name
• Email address
• Product purchased
• Amount paid
• Transaction date
• Payment status
• Refund or chargeback information

Stripe processes payment information according to its own privacy and security policies.

MailerLite may also process information related to digital-product delivery and customer communications.

4. Community Wisdom Submissions

LinKo’s Community Wisdom project allows people to voluntarily share practical lessons, experiences, and advice that may help others.

Community Wisdom submissions are currently collected through Google Forms and may be stored in Google Workspace or Google Drive.

You may be able to submit Community Wisdom anonymously.

Depending on the choices you make in the submission form, LinKo may use selected contributions or recurring themes on:

• The LinKo website
• LinKo educational guides and resources
• Email communications
• Social media or other LinKo outreach materials

We will use the attribution preference you select on the submission form.

LinKo may lightly edit a contribution for clarity, length, grammar, or privacy when permission has been provided. We will not intentionally change the meaning of a contribution.

We do not intend to publish your email address or other contact information as part of a Community Wisdom submission.

Please do not include private or identifying information about another person in your submission.

Not every submission will necessarily be published.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through LinKo to:

• Provide resources you request
• Process and fulfill digital-product purchases
• Send service-related or transactional communications
• Send email communications you have requested or agreed to receive
• Respond to questions or support requests
• Manage Community Wisdom submissions
• Understand which LinKo resources are useful
• Improve website content and user experience
• Maintain records related to purchases and partner referrals

6. Partner Referral Links

LinKo may work with community organizations, reentry organizations, mentors, or other partners that share special LinKo resource links.

When you arrive through one of these links, LinKo may record the referring partner so that we can understand how people found us and, where applicable, accurately track purchases associated with a partner program.

For example, we may record that a visitor or purchaser arrived through a link shared by a particular partner organization.

We do not provide partners with unnecessary personal information about individual visitors or subscribers solely because they used a partner link.

If a partner arrangement requires sales reporting or revenue sharing, LinKo may provide the partner with aggregate information such as the number of purchases or sales generated through the partner’s designated link.

7. Cookies and Website Analytics

LinKo may use cookies or similar technologies to help the website function and to understand general website usage.

LinKo does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

We may retain limited records when required by law even after a deletion request.

• Stop sending non-transactional email communications
• Clarify how information you submitted is being used

You can unsubscribe from marketing or resource-update emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages.

Transactional communications associated with a purchase may still be sent when necessary to provide the product or address a transaction.

12. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information collected through LinKo and use established third-party service providers for functions such as payments and email delivery.

However, no website, electronic communication, or online storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Please avoid sending highly sensitive personal information through LinKo forms or ordinary email unless it is specifically necessary.

13. Children’s Privacy

LinKo is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
