About

Practical guidance. Human dignity. One step at a time.

LinKo was created to help people navigating life after incarceration access clear, respectful, self-paced tools for understanding today’s world and moving forward with more confidence.

Why LinKo exists

The transition that often gets overlooked.

Most reentry services focus on immediate needs such as housing, employment, identification, transportation, and benefits. Those needs matter deeply.

But there is another layer of transition that is often overlooked: understanding how everyday systems work now. Workplaces change. Technology changes. Communication norms change. Hiring systems change. Social expectations change.

LinKo exists to make those changes easier to understand.

Our approach

Practical

We focus on real situations: applications, interviews, technology, communication, routines, and expectations.

Self-Paced

People can use LinKo resources privately, slowly, and in the order that makes sense for them.

Respectful

We assume capability. We do not talk down to people or reduce anyone to their past.

Grounded

We offer tools and orientation, not guarantees.

Iris Yim, founder of LinKo

Founder note

Built on listening.

LinKo was created by Iris Yim, a market researcher and storyteller with years of experience listening deeply, identifying patterns, and translating lived experiences into practical insight.

Through volunteer work and creative collaboration with people impacted by incarceration, Iris saw a recurring need: many people are motivated to move forward but lack clear, accessible guidance for navigating the systems, expectations, and communication norms of life after release.

LinKo brings together research, storytelling, and practical education to create resources that help people feel less lost and more prepared.

Connection to Inner Sparkk Studio

Related, but distinct.

LinKo is a separate initiative from Inner Sparkk Studio.

Inner Sparkk Studio is rooted in art, creative expression, and storytelling. LinKo focuses on practical educational resources and future learning communities for people navigating life after incarceration.

The two share a belief in dignity, creativity, and human potential — but serve different purposes.
